Movable exhibition wagon of the Croatian Railway Museum
As a part of its collection, the Croatian Railway Museum
The first of these facts refers to a long-lasting connection as well as co-dependence of postal and railway activities in the delivery of postal consignments, which is nowadays slowly becoming a thing of the past. For instance, in the past ten years only three more postal wagons are still left in operation on Croatian railway lines, namely in the directions Zagreb-Split-Zagreb and Zagreb-Rijeka-Zagreb. At this moment the post for the city of Split is being transported six times a week, at night only, and in the direction of the city of Rijeka five times a week (from Tuesday to Saturday) and only by day. However, these wagons no longer bear the designation of travelling post offices, because the consignments they contain are not being dealt with anymore, but merely transported from departure to destination station. This means that there is no longer any staff present and that these wagons have become containers of a kind, with the purpose of consignment transport. In this way the establishment of travelling post offices has ceased to exist, and the multitude of work and employee experiences from this first-class postal service remains committed solely to the memories of onetime employees. In order to salvage these memories from oblivion, the company Remont i proizvodnja željezničkih vozila d.o.o. Slavonski Brod (Overhaul and Production of Railway Vehicles d.o.o. Slavonski Brod) renovated a mail wagon, which was constructed in 1963 by the Croatian railway vehicles factory ’’Gredelj’’. At this point it is important to note how significant the construction of mail wagons for this oldest Croatian railway vehicles factory was, because it meant the extension of production from maintenance and reconstruction to construction of new track vehicles. A crucial fact in terms of mail wagon renovation was also the temporary location of the Croatian Railway Museum, founded in 1991, which is situated in the southern part of the ’’Gredelj’’ factory, with an entrance from the side of the Vukovarska street; the museum has no permanent display either. For this purpose both sides of the wagon office space were renovated -once used to store consignments during the journey- to enable the mounting of exhibitions or staging of presentations and lectures, appropriate for the occasion, musical or theatrical performances, promotional events, audio-visual presentation and similar events.
The interior of the wagon is preserved in the original condition, as well as office equipment for dealing with and sorting of consignments on authentic work desks, post shelves, there is also a coal-burning stove, a bed and some chairs. In order to provide good quality while catering for multimedia needs, modern technical equipment was installed into the wagon, together with a plasma screen, video and DVD devices. It is equipped with air-conditioning as well as fifty seats. The wagon is exhibited on platform IV of the Zagreb Glavni kolodvor (Zagreb Main Railway Station), and if required can be transported anywhere within the railway system network. In this way public events became available to a wider circle of users, and the story of travelling post offices remains preserved and clearly substantiated through the original setting and the equipment of the museum’s mail wagon.
Through renovation the wagon has become a unique movable museum exhibit which has so far hosted several exhibitions, lectures and promotional filming. The realization of joint projects together with the Nacionalno sveučilište Dubrava (the National University of Dubrava), aimed at the youngest population, will make the museum’s mail wagon the site where one can socialize in a good atmosphere during the performance of theatrical pieces and creative workshops. Guided by the museum staff, the children will be able to gain new insights into how postal consignments were transported by train.

Predstavljena knjiga "Kardinal Alojzije Stepinac mučenik za ljudska prava"

| Riječ je o drugom i proširenom izdanju knjige "Le cardinal Stepinac martyr des droits de l'homme", koju je u Parizu 1981. godine pod pseudonimom M. Landercy objavio o. Vladimir Horvat |
U ime izdavača nazočne je pozdravila Petra Somek rekavši da se čitalačkoj javnosti podastire jedan od najobuhvatnijih životopisa kardinala Stepinca. Prvi prijevod knjige objavljen je 1989. godine, a ovo izdanje je autor bitno proširio i dopunio. Djelo na dokumentarni način svjedoči o životu i djelu jednog od vodećih hrvatskih intelektualaca i duhovnih vođa, kardinalu Alojziju Stepincu, a posebna vrijednost su brojne ilustracije koje su iz djelom iz arhiva samog autora, te župe u Krašiću.
Prelat Vladimir Stanković, koji je napisao predgovor knjizi i bio jedan od recenzenata, podsjetio je na političke prilike početkom 80-tih godina u kojima su ponovno došli do izražaja napadi na Katoličku Crkvu među Hrvatima, a posebno napad na nadbiskupa Stepinca i njegova nasljednika zagrebačkog nadbiskupa Franju Kuharića. Tada je Ured Ravnateljstva dušobrižništva za Hrvate u inozemstvu, koji je tada imao sjedište u Rimu, pripremio na talijanskom i dugim jezicima dokumente, posebno one kardinala Šepera i nadbiskupa Kuharića o kardinalu Stepincu. Paralelno s time krenula je inicijativa o. Horvata, tada voditelja Hrvatske katoličke misije u Parizu, oko objavljivanja na francuskom jeziku životopisa Alojzija Stepinca, knjige koja će dati i kratku povijest hrvatskog naroda. Knjiga o. Horvata je zahvaljujući donaciji jedne civilne humanitarne ustanove bila odaslana na 600-tinjak adresa crkvenih velikodostojnika diljem svijeta. Ta aktivnost nije ostala nezapažena, te je pristiglo mnoštvo zahvalnih pisama. Potom se Stanković kratko osvrnuo na djelovanje hrvatskog iseljeništva, te podsjetio na dio onih autora koji su kroz više desetljeća na stranim jezicima pisali o našem blaženiku i to od davne 1947. godine.
Povjesničarka dr. Agneza Szabo je podsjetila da je nadbiskup Stepinac upravo u bazilici Srca Isusova održao jednu od svojih posljednjih misa 1945. godine, te navela kardinalove riječi da će "doći vrijeme kada će sve doći na vidjelo, i kada će se sve klevete i laži raskrinkati, i zato nas malo dira grožnja kojom se i zagrebački nadbiskup ubraja među ratne zločince." Istaknula je važne povijesne događaje i činjenice o kojima svjedoči knjiga o. Horvata, te se osvrnula na središnja poglavlja knjige koja govore o Stepinčevu povratku iz Rima, odnosno primjerima njegova uzornoga života i rada prije i poslije preuzimanja službe zagrebačkog nadbiskupa. Podsjetila je i na malo poznatu činjenicu da su komunisti nadbiskupa Stepinca prvi puta uhitili 17. svibnja 1945. godine i držali ga u zatvoru do 3. lipnja kako ne bi, možda, kako izrijekom piše o. Horvat, nadbiskup Stepinac doznao za Bleiburg i križne putove, te alarmirao svijet. Istaknula je i da o. Horvat pomno opisuje težak položaj hrvatskih katolika, a knjigu je napisao objektivno na temelju relevantnih povijesnih vrela, lijepim hrvatskim jezikom, te ju ukrasio i dokumentirao fotografijama.
O. Vladimir Horvat je istaknuo, kako je pročitao i proučio djela o Stepincu franjevca Benigara, dominikanca Draguna, francuskog diplomata Pezeta i drugu literaturu, jer je vidio kako se u Francuskoj Stepinca osuđuje. Za njih je kardinal ratni zločinac, a on je zapravo mučenik za ljudska prava, rekao je o. Horvat i stoga je odlučio napisati knjigu pod tim naslovom. Pojasnio je tijek pripreme francuskog izdanja koje je izdano kod nakladnika Apostolat des editions. Istaknuo je da je ubrzo bilo pripremljeno i drugo dopunjeno izdanje pa je svjetska javnost bila informirana o nadbiskupu Stepincu. Potom je pojasnio i pojavu prijevoda tog izdanja na hrvatskom jeziku koje je 1989. godine priredio Ivan Zirdum, a izdano je u Đakovačkim Selcima. Novo izdanje pripremio je na poticaj župnika iz Krašića, a načinio je novi prijevod originalnog teksta, te i dopunio svime onim što se od 1981. dogodilo.
Na kraju predstavljanja veliki meštar Družbe Braća Hrvatskoga Zmaja i urednik knjige dr. Dragutin Feletar je kratko objasnio zašto se u izdavački poduhvat uključila Družba. Podsjetio je kako je i sam Stepinac bio član Družbe, kao Zmaj od Bakačeve kule, a i članovi Družbe bili su gotovo svi oni koji su prijateljevali s njim i koji su se kasnije itekako zauzimali da se Alojzije Stepinac proglasi blaženim. Među inima i kardinal Kuharić koji je bio Zmaj kaptolski, biskup Kokša koji je bio Zmaj od Krbulina, a istaknuo je i veliku ulogu kardinala Šepera.

FILM O BLAŽENOM IVANU MERZU DOSTUPAN NA WEB STRANICI
Zahvaljujući inicijativi Humanitarne udruge “Bl. Ivan Merz” iz Splita dokumentarni film o životu našega Blaženika postavljen je na YouTube. Film nosi naslov "Katolička vjera životno zvanje" a snimljen je u produkciji vjerskog programa HTV-a. Zbog ograničenja trajanja filmova na YouTube-u (10 min.) film je podijeljen na pet dijelova. La Municipalidad de Bahìa Blanca puso en conocimiento sobre la creación de la agencia de Relaciones Internacionales, esta tiene como finalidad maximizar la inserción de Bahìa Blanca en el mundo, otorgándole una adecuada visibilidad dentro del marco global .
El Centro de Colectividades, y las instituciones que lo componen se hallan inscriptos respecto de eventuales acciones en esta temática .
