The Easter egg is a symbol in itself, we can interpret it in different ways, religious and popular:

In popular culture, the symbols of the coloured eggs have many interpretations, in general they mean, prosperity, fortune, fertility, love, long life, good harvest, etc.
Croatia, a millennial country by the coast of the Adriatic Sea, has strong traditions in different regions. They use different techniques for painting eggs, ornamentation and writing on the eggs that have different meanings.
All these techniques go back about 1500 years. Nowadays we continue using old methods with new materials.
It is an art craft in which the artist combines the colours with the drawings.
The eggs are prepared to be eaten or for decoration: the are coloured, waxed, coloured with markers, printed, oil painted, they are covered with silk and many others materials.
