Daniella guest hosts on Malaysian Dance Radio

Japan-Croatia Friendship House Project presented in Tokamachi
Dr. Drago Štambuk, Croatian ambassador in Japan, called Tokamachi the capital of the Japanese-Croatian friendship. More precisely, Japan-Croatia Friendship House Project has been presented in Tokamachi, to be built near the playground named Croatia Pitch, which serves the sporting, cultural and social purposes. Croatian architects Vinko Penezić and Krešimir Rogina, already established in Japan, explained the project's premises and details.

St. Anthony's Tamburica & Kolo Club in Los Angeles exists since 1960
St. Anthony's Tamburica & Kolo Club is an ensemble founded at St. Anthony's Croatian Catholic Church founded in 1960 by Josip Bachman, a Croatian immigrant from the city of Osijek. The orchestra performs concert pieces composed specifically for the tamburica orchestra by noted Croatian composers, including the great Dr. Josip Andrić. The Japanese "L.A. Men's Glee Club" has sung U BOJ in Croatian at Croatian Cultural Extravaganza!

Ivo Robic 1923-2000 Croatian pop singer and a global star
Ivo Robić 1923-2000 is probably the most famous Croatian pop singer in history. For Germany's Polydor Record Co he first cut "Morgen" in 1959, and in a few weeks the "Morgen" climbed to Germany's top songs. It was sold in more than a million of copies, half a million in the USA! He was a guest star in some prestigious USA programs: Perry Como Show of NBC, the Ed Sullivan Show, the Dick Clark Show, etc.

17th Annual NFCA Cultural Foundation Convention to be held May 15, 2010
The National Federation of Croatian Americans (NFCA) Cultural Foundation 2010 Assembly of Delegates will take place in Monroeville, Pennsylvania within the Greater Pittsburgh area, the weekend of May 14-16.

Ivana Marija Vidović gave a concert in Torino Italy 27 Feb 2010 with standing ovations
Croatian pianist Ivana Marija Vidović, gave a concert on 27th of February in one of the most prestigious art buildings in Turin, Teatro Circolo dei lettori, on the occasion of 200th anniversary of the birth of the great German composer Robert Schumann. Ivana performed among others  pieces of the most famous Croatian woman composer Dora Pejacevic Standing ovations and several encores have au-revoired this Croatian multitalented artist.

Croatian Children's and Youth Festival in New York April 24-25 2010

Croatian president awards lifetime achievement award to Hedvig Hricak, M.D.
Radiological Society of North America President Hedvig Hricak, M.D., Ph.D., Dr. h.c., an internationally recognized leader in radiology research and public education, received a lifetime achievement award from Croatian President Stjepan Mesic at a December ceremony in Croatia. Dr. Hricak is a native of Croatia.

National Federation of Croatian Americans President Steve Rukavina (left) and his wife Diane met with President Barack Obama and the First Lady Michelle Obama at a December holiday party at The White House. The NFCA President was thrilled to meet the President and to extend well wishes from the Croatian American community.

Ivica Kostelic wins silver in Vancouver
Ivica Kostelic's silver medal added to the Olympic legacy of one of the great Alpine ski racing families. Second behind Bode Miller in Sunday's super-combined, Kostelic got advice from his younger sister Janica on how to master a slalom course set by their father and coach, Ante.

Croatian-American photographer, Zoran Orlic (left) sat down and spoke with Jutarnji List of Croatia and spoke about how he got started in photography, who his influences are and how he has made a successful career of immortalizing musicians in photographs. 

Winners named in Croatian schoolchildren's art contest
The Croatian Information Centre named the winners of its recent art competition and exhibition of art by Croatian schoolchildren in the diaspora. The judges had a tough decision to make because there were over 500 entries from Croatian children around the world.

Vladimir Hudolin distinguished Croatian psychiatrist and humanist
 Vladimir Hudolin, 1922-1996, is distinguished Croatian psychiastrist of worldwide reputation, professor at the University of Zagreb. He has  created the social-ecological approach to alcohol  related problems centred on the  family  and on the community. In Italy only more than 2500 Clubs of Alcoholics have been founded which exploit his methodology. Professor Hudolin is a honorary citizen of San Daniele del Friuli, Italy, since 1983.
