5 March 2019 – The Executive Committee of Croatian football club Dinamo Zagreb has appointed a female president of the board for the first time in the club’s history.

Former Igor Kodžoman, who will remain in the club as an advisor to the board, has been replaced by Vlatka Peras, the club announced in a statement on their website.

Vlatka Peras was born in Zagreb in 1977 and is a qualified air traffic engineer. She has worked at the club in a number of capacities since 1998, first in the public relations department and sport sector, before becoming manager of the club’s administration office in 2005.

“By appointing Mrs. Vlatka Peras as president of the Management Board of GNK Dinamo, I think we did the best thing. This is a person who came to Dinamo, starting from the ground and has reached the president of the board. I have known Mrs. Peras for almost two decades. Throughout that time, she has developed in a business and human sense, and I think she has the potential that will make Dinamo very good. I also believe that with her knowledge, perseverance and effort, together with other members of the Board, she will successfully lead Dinamo,” Mirko Barišić, the club’s chairman said.

Dinamo Zagreb will meet Benfica in the first leg of the last 16 of the UEFA Europa League on Thursday, 7 March in Zagreb.
